Wesley FDI Cover 1985 Australia Day with Wrong Date

I was just about to list this cover which has the 1985 Australia Day Stamps (Australian Artists, joined pair), and noticed that the cancellation shows Jan 1984 instead of 1985.  I searched online and couldn't find anything related to this apparent error.  There is a current listing for this cover but it has the correct date (different PO).  Not sure now what to list it at. Any advice appreciated!

My they loaded the stamper thingy  wrong at the P.O. ?

I had a Google too but did not come across anything the same

Thanks for your reply.  I might just hang on to it for a while.. It would be interesting to know how many slipped through like this. 🙂
