Good morning All.
Geuss I'll be first cab off the rank, Mon,
I was so frustrated yesterday. Had to get my car serviced in Granville which is close to Strathfield Salvos, a part of Sydney I rarely get to during business hours. I turn up to find closed doors due to storm damage. Damn!
So I continued out to Blacktown which is way out of my way, and found these little spice jars at Blacktown Vinnies yesterday:

Cool! Are they Hanstan? They have a really clever 'arsenic' one as well, which is really collectable.

Yes Hanstan OWL. I had that Arsenic one pass through my hands a cpl of years ago.

Fancy starting the new year with a TV appearance? A new show, Aussie Pickers (based on American Pickers), is being put together in Australia. The producers are looking for out of control collectors, so they thought they might find a few on MyBower! Ideally they are looking for people with a shed or garage full of a variety of items (otherwise known as a load of old junk). The hosts of the show will visit and have a good rummage to see if they can find some valuable items hidden away. If that sounds like fun call the producer on (view the site or email if you get one)
any takers here ? 🙂

Not me - I haven't got a shed. All my stuff is in cabinets and shelves inside. Plus I guess my collecting is pretty narrow these days!
I have acquired a couple of new pieces recently, if anyone can ID the maker of the pink bowl it would be much appreciated.
I have them in an album on photobucket for closeups

Thanks Jenny. that Val Saint Lambert one is gorgeous, A few different glass makers made oval bowls with the big "ear" type handles, If you look on the Pressglass site under Brockwitz bowls you will see some. There is one there with very similar shaped handles, and if I was going to take a guess based on nothing more than that I would say this one might be Brockwitz. Sowerby made a couple as well.
cheers

Hi everyone 🙂
Nice glass pieces there, Rae.
That bowl looks like it's got big ears doesn't it?
Here's my find for the day:
more big ears lol.
This little piggy S&P came from the manager lady at Salvos own collection, she'd donated them, culling some of her stuff.
We all know how that is 😐

Hi, very happy with these finds 2 Florenz Wall pockets, they feel wonderful in the hand and will look great with our other wall vases.
Lovely finds from the other boardies so far this month as well.
