embroidery, linen, tatting question

I have a couple of boxes of handmade doilies, tableclothes, linen, crotcheted and tatted items. Does anyone know of a good place or person to go to get these dated - it's a mixture of 4 generations all jumbled together and I know nothing about this area at all. Don't want to accidentally part with the very old work.

I live Melbourne,

Thanks all,

Barb

Hi, Barb, the best place I can suggest is the Embroidery Guild n Malvern.

Re: embroidery, linen, tatting question

or you can post some pics here.:-x We can probably tell you the earliest date it could be. Linen/embroidery patterns were often used for years.

In another life I know a bit about antique linen.
