No one is saying it will be easy but compared to some countries I know where I would rather be.

One of the quarantine Sydney hotels (Swissotel Market Street in the city), I stayed at in 2015 and it's 5 star, with nice rooms, lovely staff, and amazing views. Even our huge bathroom had wall to wall views!!!
Jail, my A$$.I guess it's nice to stay there, but to be stuck in the same room for 14 days?
No matter how nice the prison...
If you can't get out, it's still a prison.
I think I could wear it for 14 days, though...
You can't even stay away from hairdressers and car washes.
Wear it for 14 days? Pffffft
Did you just pass wind?

In just one room, even with food supplied etc, it would be very hard on your mental strength. Necessary, but hard.
Just finished our 14 day self isolation after returning from the south island of NZ(at that time "virus free") Stuck in a house for that time was pretty s***house so as to speak. But gave me plenty of time to goggle and read about viruses--flu etc etc.
Found many articles about the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic and apparently we learnt nothing about how viruses are create/bread/form spread and isolation. If you are in isolation (who is not at he moment) you can spend a bit time reading some the articles and see just our "leaders " have mis -managed the whole bloody thing.
There have been quite a few other "virus" attacks over the years and we have not really learnt from those either:
