Whitehall sources also told the BBC that pro-Russian rebels are believed to have discussed plans to hand MH17's two black box flight recorders to Russia.
It is understood that some of these conversations were intercepted by Ukrainian intelligence; the information is considered to be "very persuasive".

Distressed relatives have called the mobile phones of MH17 victims โ and theyโve been answered.
The reports appear to confirm that the belongings of people who went down with the doomed Malaysia Airlines flight have been looted.
Several grieving family members dialled the phones in desperation and they were answered by strangers with โEastern European-sounding voicesโ, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reports.

Mr Abbott says he fears some Australian bodies will never come home, saying the situation would "be completely unacceptable for bereaved families in Australia and around the world".

The last thing I read said the REBELS are PROBABLY going to use the black boxes and the bodies ( which are being stored on stationary refrigerated trains at present in an area controlled by REBELS) as bargaining tools.
Supernova
Well, they are not doing that. The bodies they gathered so far are now handed over, as are the flight recorders. I think your statements are bigoted and insulting to PEOPLE OF UKRAINE. There is a war going on, the people are being shelled, I suspect they did their best they could under the circumstances. They did not do it the way we would like, but they tried to retrieve the bodies, and handed over any documents. Most of the footage from the crash site I have seen had explosions and gun fire clearly heard in the distance. Why it took several days to get the 200 bodies they so far found to the hands of the Dutch? Well, maybe they hoped to have them all before sending the train on. The debris is over many kilometers of fields of high grain and sunflowers.
Your take only on my post. I disagree with it. I am not a bigot and my post is not insulting to the PEOPLE of Ukraine.
Is every person in the Ukraine a rebel (pro-Russian separatist) . No.
Who has control over the area where MH17 crashed in? The rebels.
Before the black boxes were handed over:

I wish our media would make up their mind what they think is the right thing to do. First they complained that the bodies were left in the field in the sun. At that time people from the village just put sticks with bit of white cloth next to them, and covered them with something. Later they moved the bodies, and the media, and JB & TA were saying they are destroying the evidence. Then all of the sudden the bodies were not being handed over fast enough, so the refrigerated train was sent on. Then there were complaints that there is not enough bodies there.
I am sure that some people are looting, just as there are always some people looting after bushfires or other disaster here in Australia, the USA and probably any other countries, which is much worse when the residents of the destroyed houses are likely to come home. But just because somebody answered a phone does not mean anything. What would you do if you were in the same situation, with all this death and horror and the phones would be ringing; somehow not to answer would seem not right to me.
There was a footage of pieces o the fuselage being moved with crane; maybe there were bodies under it, or maybe they were looking for the flight recorder. As far as putting parts from another plane there; well, I do not think that even uneducated peasant would be as stupid as that and think that it would not be immediately noticed.
I have not heard one single mention of the obvious trauma that the people of this village are going though, no mention of counseling, or helping them in any way. We care more about the dead (as long as they are Australians) than the living.

Have to agree, the media needs to keep us buying the papers and watch their news. And TA and co. are just so pleased to have something to take the spotlight off the domestic mess.
Just one more thing; for the rebels this a total disaster; they are fighting for their lives and it does not look too good for them in this moment, with Russia most likely not being able to offer as much support as before.

Super, it was not the people of the Village stopping the bodies from being retrieved but Rebel soldiers with GUNS.
It was also SOLDIERS with guns stopping the inspectors from looking at the crash site
Also it was the rebel Soldiers interfering with the cash site
As have said I do feel for the people of the village, it was horrific for them

As far as putting parts from another plane there; well, I do not think that even uneducated peasant would be as stupid as that and think that it would not be immediately noticed.
Your opinion, doesn't make it fact.
Rebels were accused of doing that, not nearby villagers. Who do the rebels take orders from? not undeducated peasants.
Who else would notice, other than rebels, in an area controlled by them?
Meanwhile, the finger-pointing continues over who was responsible for bringing down Flight MH17, a Boeing 777.
......
However, Vitaly Nayda, Ukraine's director of informational security, told CNN's Kyung Lah that the person who shot down the flight was "absolutely" a Russian. "A Russian-trained, well-equipped, well-educated officer ... pushed that button deliberately," he said.
