Channel 7 must be getting feedback they need to get rid of the repeats of the very weak Australian cop drama (City Homicide) and use anextra hour of Homicide Life on the Street.

What is cheaper for 7 to run: City Homicide or Homicide Life on the Street?

City Homicide finished its run...they had already repeated a number of episodes.

The extra episodes of Homicide: Life on the Street will just finish the series so there will be a whole new lineup on Monday.

Almost 20 years later, I still think that "Homicide: Life on the Street" is one of the best dramas to have ever come out of the US.

I read David Simon's book, "Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets", upon which the program is based, only last year and it's an absolutely riveting read. It was written after Simon had spent all of 1988 embedded with the Baltimore Police Department's Homicide Unit, so much of the TV series was based on fact.
