And the winner is Twynnie with The Masters Apprentices - It's Because I Love You.

A great band and a great song.

Congrats Twynnie and take it awaaay..

A little personal indulgence if I may  😎

The Masters Apprentices were a big part of the Melbourne music scene in the middle to late 60's.  I have very fond memories of the time.

They should have been millionaires going by the popularity of their songs and performances but never made much money and struggled all the way.

My favourite song of theirs was The Masters Apprentices - Turn Up Your Radio (1970)

It still gets my old arthritic bones moving 🤣

When I think of The Masters Apprentices I also can't help thinking about other performers from the 60's, such as The Twilights, Axiom, Billy Thorpe, Zoot and Doug Parkinson. Thinking back creates a feeling similar to how I felt during the 60's. While it's exhilarating, It's quite sad too.
