4 Day Music Challenge - Theme is: Bed
Ends Tuesday 12th November (Evening)
Interest in this challenge has been pretty low lately (only 10 entries and the grand total of 8 kudos in the last round. 25 songs and 24 kudos in the one before). See how this one goes but unless the number of entries and kudos picks up, maybe we should drop it for a while?
NO EMBEDDED VIDEOS OR IMAGES PLEASE.
This is to accommodate those on slow or mobile internet connections. Any embedded videos entered will be deemed invalid.
The poster of the video that receives the most kudos at the end of the challenge will win that round
The winner then chooses the next theme, starts a new thread, hosts it, and declares the eventual new winner with the most kudos
Have fun. ๐ค

Hate to say it.....but Joz*garage wins with Lay, Lady Lay
๐ณ It's not that I don't like the song, it's just that every time I hear that song title I remember my teacher saying "Chickens lay eggs. Unless you are laying the table, the correct word is LIE." ๐

This was posted on Quora by a private tutor, I hope it helps:
"The verb, to lay, means to place something down with your hands: โWe laid the body down slowly and carefully at the cemetery.โ However, the action of reclining requires the verb, to lie: โWe are lying down after a long day to get some rest.โ
It gets a bit tricky, though, because the verb, to lie, is homographic: the same word has the same pronunciation, but two different meanings. When, to lie, means to make a false statement, the past tense is lied: He lied about the event.โ When the verb, to lie, means the action of reclining, the past tense is lay: โHe lay down to rest before dinner.โ
Getting all this straight is a matter of memorizing the definitions of the verbs, to lay and to lie. Their conjugations also need to be memorized".
