"Me, I've liked Malcolm Turnbull since he was part of the team that launched the first Big Bong web site back in September of 1995, sure, MT probably didn't know that the first Big Bong website was hosted on 'ozemail' dot com dot au nor that I was a 'rogue' part of the ozemail internet promotion team handing out "free ozemail floppy discs" (that ozemail head office sent to the Big Bong Shop) by the hundreds as I hitch hiked and blogged my way up and down the east coast of Australia looking for a place to make the movie about the book (and core concept) that all my cyber space is built around.... www.BigBong.org

"Being unable to accept a past "chuckle" from elsewhere e.g.: "I don't feel I have to "prove " anything to anyone as I already know..." , it would be enlightening DH to read what you found "was correct", as I do delight in credible supporting evidence."

If you want it in reality:
On 19 September 2012, the House of Representatives voted against passing its same-sex marriage bill by a margin of 98-42 votes
On 21 September 2012, the Senate also voted down its same-sex marriage legislation, by a vote of 41-26.
Those Liberals who feel strongly enough in favour of change can still defy party policy and cross the floor with party impunity - except if they are on the front bench.
Frontbenchers are bound by party decisions. If they can't support them, they must resign.
In both instances, the Liberal/National Coalition honoured their 2010 election commitment to vote as a bloc against any same-sex marriage legislation.

From what exactly DH?
I have only questioned the credibility of the link you introduced and then shown your answer, to my doubt that Turnbull had: "Voted very strongly against" Namely: Same-sex marriage equality. , to be wrong.
No diversion needed, my track is definitively on course, judging by the
