It is no longer possible to appeal a ban to the mods. They won't even reply to a poster who has been banned.
Since I bought my wife here on ebay, I don't post as often as I used to. It's no longer the same old place we once knew and had so much fun in. Since it's not so much fun any more, posters drift away. Nowadays, if a person has too much fun here, they run a real risk of a ban without notice.
You bought your wife on eBay? Was she expensive? I wonder if you can buy husbands too, I could trade Mr Tippy in for a newer model ^_~

Most wives are expensive to run. But then again, so are most husbands. ๐
I met her on the old chinwag board about 8 years ago. I didn't know we could do trade-ins here. Please don't give her any ideas.

What's a fairweather friend? I don't have real life friends. Too much hard work. I only have occasional aquaintences. I hate people in general. I'd much rather spend my time with my garden and my animals (I'd also better add my husband!).

Ahhh yes, I get it now. I know people with pools who have "summer friends". They only ever visit in Summer when it's hot and always come prepared with a towel and swimmers conveniently in the car. They never see or hear from them at other times of the year.

I'm sure it does happen to the majority of people i.e fairweather friends. I'm sorry it happened to you Mlor. I can count my real friends on one hand these days. Less than one hand in fact.
I ended a very long and close friendship during the 'great betrayal'. So, she didn't really drop me. I dropped her. You'll understand why ...
Me: OMG I've just found out Mr Cat has been cheating on me for months! *sobbing*
Her: How did you find out?
Me: I hacked into his email and found their 'love' letters.
Her: *shaking her head* It's going to take him ages to get over the fact you betrayed his trust and read his private emails.
Me: Huh?
She never apologised. All she said was this was her opinion and she wasn't changing it. I knew she was coming from the 'other woman' standpoint because she's been the 'other woman', aka skanky ho, twice. She relied on the betrayed women to stay in the dark and mind their own business. So I ended the friendship. Still hurts to this day how she added more trauma to my life at the time.

Better the devil you know, than the devil you donโt. In a way you are fortunate because you now do know. You have the power to place people exactly where they belong in your life โ those who belong in the past and those who you can share the future with. Your tiny handful of real friends are precious. Iโm sorry you have been hurt cat, but in the bigger scheme of things, you have been able to learn who genuinely cares about you. They are the ones who deserve you.
