For tenants- how often is your rent put up?
For landlords- How often do you put rent up?
We have had our rental property for 4 years, same tenant the whole time and we are planning to put the rent up for the first time

So last weekend i did an inspection on the house. After the inspection i said "Remember the rent will be going up on the 22nd July by $20 as per the notice i sent you"
She replies with "Yes, i got that. I was a little shocked. At this stage we will stay as son and his wife are saving for a house of their own. After they go, i'm not sure if i will stay or go"
So we have decided to keep them in for now. At least the extra $20 a week will go towards the clean up when they do move out
