AFP Raid Channel 7 over Schapelle Corby
It must be a joke, surely???
VETERAN Channel Seven journalist Mike Willesee has hit out at the Australian Federal Police raid on the network’s headquarters this morning, saying it would not reveal anything because Schapelle Corby has not been paid.
There were “heated scenes” at Channel Seven’s Sydney headquarters today as its offices were raided by the AFP.
It is understood Federal police were looking for evidence of the lucrative media deal the Corby family reportedly signed on behalf of Schapelle for her first post-prison interview with Seven’s current affairs flagship program, Sunday Night.

I think you will find the via grandparent right to citizenship changed a few years ago, it is now parents only.
Anyway... what Western country would give a convicted drug smuggler permanent residency (no matter how much $$ they have?)
To travel for holidays, entry is refused to a lot of countries if the person has a drug conviction (even a minor one, let alone international drug smuggling!).
EU
but in general if its not more than 3 years of imprisonment, or crimes involving alien smuggling or drug offenses that resulted in more than 2 years of imprisonment, then generally they will not refuse you entry or visa on that ground

A Western country (not third world)? Wouldn't quite be the same going there to live the high life on the proceeds of crime, as it would in Paris or Madrid or Milan would it?

is that federal jurisdiction?
I didn't think that this involved the Federal Police?
I could be wrong though...
No, you are not wrong................... it is as relevant as spending money on asylum seekers V pensioners, disabled etc. Different budget all together.

If the Govt/AFP can manage to confiscate a few $m every year under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, then that will benefit others in this country.
Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 Funding Round 2012 – Graffiti Prevention, Reduction and/or Removal Funding
Funding of $2.9 million was awarded to 25 projects under the Graffiti Prevention, Reduction and/or Removal Funding Round. Funding under this round was provided to local government organisations working in partnership with community groups to support anti-graffiti activities.
Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 NGO Funding Round 2011 – Security Improvement Funding
Funding totaling $1 million was awarded to 31 projects under the Security Improvement Funding Round. Funding under this round was provided to specialist services providing crisis accommodation to women and children escaping domestic violence to undertake security improvements to their principal location.

AFP and their masters are wasting their time, all the details of any deals wont be found here, it will all be done behing closed doors with slush fungs that cant be followed direct to third parties.
I believe as I said before she wont be back in Oz until she is a broke old lady wanting her pension.
lots of countries like Rio as long as you have money to spend, I also believe they are giving people citizenship in spain or Greese if you buy a house.
