My youngest daughter is safely back from her 4 month deployment to the Middle East just in time for Anzac Day - I think she's onto her second row of medals lol

She is heading to Port Macquarie to support the ceremony there but I will be stuck here in cold wet Adelaide - will do a local Dawn Service and maybe a bevvy or two at the local RSL Man Happy

Yes warm clothes and a brolly will be the order of the day

Thank her for her service from all of us. We all owe her, and others.

Marina.

Early night for me.  I am so not used to getting up at 5:30 on a Saturday morning.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I'd never get up in time for a Dawn Service, plus I have a few mobility issues.

I'll watch the ceremonies on TV (as I do every year).  I always watch the Melbourne march as my dad was in the RAAF in WWII.

Also, I especially love the ceremony at Villers-Bretonneux, that's one I never miss.

This gives me an opportunity to remember my grandfather.......who served in both World Wars, and my uncles who were in the RAN.

I'm like you zanadoo....the old knees won't stand up to public transport and then hours of standing around watching the march.

I will be glued to the TV from 4.30am watching first the Dawn Service in NZ then the Canberra one as well as the Gallipoli, Lone Pine and Villers Bretonneux services.

My ex husband will be marching in Sydney along with a lot of his Navy mates (Vietnam) so I will be keeping a close eye on the march and thinking of my great uncle who served in WW1 and my ex's uncle who served in the Navy in WW2.
