> ring centrelink tomorrow and ask them to send you the forms out for carers and have them put on your file an "intention to claim for carers allowance" they will then have to back date it and you just might get it.Thats what we did last year and we got the stimulis and back pay of carers for Darcy.

oh doll, you do make me giggle, but it is probably quicker to go in anyway. By the time you ring them and get passed around to 13 departments and cut off 6 times, put on hold 7 times and given the wrong info 4 times - going in is definitely the way to go!

I borrowed sunday paper of freind.Its in the magazine part of the telegraph and its just about a bloke who has some sort of treatment plan or something and it costs $3000.If he wants to pay my bills for next month or 6 lol then I might be able to afford it.

good luck Webby - when I did the course I was so nervous over the taped and videoed bits as well ... so I know how you feel - real life at uni was much easier!

I am wondering if the $3,000 for therapy isn't the payment you can get if your child is under 6, and you are doing early intervention of some sort.

Thanks Rae, I'm sure I'll be ok, its just I am not good at video tapping but its the only practical way for me to finish the pracs as I can't go into Melbourne.

I'm only doing my first at this stage, open and closed questioning reflecting etc using the role play situation. Any tips?

There is the Child Disability payment as well, some one may have mentioned that earlier. I think that comes in first week of July is it?

my mum just rang and told me that there is an article about government assistance package to the value of $3000 for ASD kids in the Sunday Paper

If you find it let us know about it.the only thing I found was some doctor wanting us to pay him lol and Im paying enough doctors to drive BMW's now lol.
