Hi guys

I am still here and reading everything. I dont come to these boards much anymore as I dont really like them this is the only thread I post on mainly.

I got another phone call from my sons school today saying come and pick him up we cant handle him and we dont have the time and the thing is he is not causing any major problems from what I can see they just cant be bothered with him.

I spent 5 mins with him and he was calm and ready to go back to school if only they would do the same I think they will find he would be the same for them.
All he was feeling was sad that is so much easier to deal with than anger or anxiety. They still wouldnt deal with it.

It just frustrates me they watch what I do with him and what works and they wont bother trying to do the same thing they would rather go in all guns blazing with him. We all know how that works.....it doesnt.

Very annoyed X-(

Lisa that sounds dead annoying. If I remember rightly you are in Vic?

If you are you can call a place called STAR who dedicate themselves to helping kids stay in school and act as an advocate or will at least give you some ideas on how to handle the school.
03 9650 2730
info@starvictoria.org.au

Or there is the Association for Children with a disability, many who give advice there are parents of children with a disability so they have lived it.
phone 03 9818 2000, 1800 654 013 (rural callers), or mail@acd.org.au

They are very helpful as well.

You could call a Program support group meeting or PSG and write down your concerns and suggested strategies. You could also request that a student welfare office or physc come and assess to give teachers strategies in order to cope. It is not acceptable that they continue to call you, they need to work with you to keep him in school.

Rae may also have some ideas.

I am sorry its so frustrating for you Lisa. Hey I'm moving to Tawonga in the next month if all works out. Are you only a few hours away? Message me if u ever want to catch up.

good luck:-x

That's how my son's teacher acts. ๐Ÿ˜ž The only difference is that I have the rest pf the school staff trying to do it the right way.

(Mind you I just snapped and yelled at both my kids tonight :8})

Hi peeps :-x

Update

Took the girls to the BO today. Nothing wrong with miss 3's eye's. Apparently, according to the optomotrist, the space between her eye's is wider than usual, it gives an optical illusion and this is why miss 3's eye looked as though it was turning inwards. Phew, I am so releived that sh doesn't need glasses or have to do patching etc... etc...

Jess needs a stronger pair for school and reading. She was so excited because at the BO when she had the correct lenses on, for the first time in her entire life she was able to go cross eyed. As for the other pair of glasses, she will need transition glasses (reading at home, driving and sunnie's).

Mind you, they don't come cheap. Especially for two pairs. I'm just glad it's sorted.

It's about time something started to go right.

Kiwi, Rae, Lisa - Some teacher's are here just to agravate us I think. I don't think they realise how much stress and anxiety they cause by their thoughtlessness.

Miss 3 goes to daycare and I have a gut feeling that they do not want her there anymore. I have cut her days down to 1 and will very soon take her out alltogether.

I now that one well.

My kids walk around with over $500 worth of glasses on their faces every day. Mine cost darn near a grand.

I am in dire straights ๐Ÿ˜ž

I bought my youngest g'daughter a Dora the Explorer clock with an Easter egg - and I cannot for the life of me remember where I hid it so she wouldn't find it - weeks ago now. I have looked everywhere.

I hope Mr 15 didn't come across it and eat it lol!! (I doubt he would, he is as honest as the day is long)

hi everyone

before i go on with my story...hope everyone else is going ok and hugs to those that are troubled atm

as for the expensive glasses, we got OHs usually expensive glasses from glassesonline.com.au and they were great and lots cheaper ๐Ÿ˜‰

just been to sydney yesterday and got home tonight to see the psychiatrist as miss11's OCD is not improving. he wants to admit her into sydney childrens hospital for THREE weeks of intensive therapy.

thats great BUT its going to cause so much upheavel to the family ARGH. i think i will have to go down there with her and stay and OH will have to stay home coz hes just started a new job and doesnt want to ask for any more time off (he just took 2 days) and im not sure wot to do with the other 2 kids...they can go but whether thats best for them i dont know and whether i can go 3 weeks without them if they dont go is another thing *cries like a sooky la la*

too many ifs and buts there, i dont know wot to do.

what i do know tho is that with my anxiety/panic disorder 3 weeks in sydney at a foreign place with little to do could be my undoing. argh.

oh and as for the course, i handed in my first two modules and passed YAY!
