awwww Sister Jacinta Fong - God bless her
Opposition Leader Tony Abbott made a campaign stop that included a $340 million plan to boost health services and warmly greeting Catholic nun Sister Jacinta Fong with a kiss.
Sister Fong has known Mr Abbott since she brought her powers of persuasion to bear on the then-health minister six years ago.
''He gave me the licence for our first MRI,'' she said.
But on Thursday the Sister of Charity and the Opposition Leader became even more familiar, when she led him on a tour of St Vincent's Hospital in inner Sydney.
Mr Abbott's announcement of his new health policy was overshadowed when a miscalculated peck on the cheek led to him brushing lips with the nun.
Sister Fong - who has worked in hospitals for more than 60 years - blushed when she heard the kiss was the talk of social media.
''We're just good friends!'' she said.
She said she believed Mr Abbott would make a good prime minister, but she was still an undecided voter.
''I want to see what other policies come out,'' she said.

When we were at St Vincents we often ran into Sister Fong, when I stayed with the nuns, Sister Fong lived next door.
