Tony Abbott has incurred the wrath of Indonesia's journalists by excluding them from a press conference, and even committed a criminal offence, according to the head of the country's journalists' union.

And while we're on the subject of farms what's going on with the government working with O"Farrell to get csg mining on the move in NSW.
I suspected as such when Abbott said he'd cut red and green tape. Not only are their economic credentials a joke,so are their environmental ones. But then again they've never had any in the first place. Any members of the Lock The Gate Alliance here?

I read something about concerns about Frakking in NSW .That's something different perhaps ?
and if it becomes possible for OS companies to sue us if they have a problem with our regulations while they operate here....we may see less regulation ?

How did we get on to unions ? alll the same , there is something else to that. take leighton holdings.. a private company, look what they've been up to .DFAT would have known, howard too. imagine if a union got up to such shenanigans . http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-10-03/leighton-accused-of-bribes-in-iraq/4995626

Reading the negitive TA comments on here makes me realise there are so many upset LP people, I have been reading the facebook comments about TA visit to Indonesia with his wife (who might I say looked fabulous) and 99% of the comments praise he and his wife on the way they both conducted themselves and how he looked like a PM unlike the last 3 (KR,JG,KR) PM's who have represented us.
He makes me proud for the first time in 6 years to say we have a confident PM leading our country, funny how well he was welcomed by the Indonesian government avfter all the negitive garbage put out there by the LP members.

I am appalled when I watch him speak.... and attempt to smile.

Newstart , I can imagine how you may feel and express your opinion if we had a Labor Government doing all that has and is being said and done at the moment.

SN, it would appear that the head of the country's journalists' union was doing what unionists do best: manipulate the truth for any audience..
" Article 18 of the Indonesian Press Act provides a prison sentence of up to two years or a maximum fine of Rp 500 million for anyone who impedes journalists seeking and disseminating information."
In a Kafkaesque twist, however, apparently it is the perpetrators and not the victims who get the protection."
A press conference given by a foreign head of government would certainly not be liable under Article 18, but grasping at any possible Tony dissin material might help in soothing some Myopics PPTSD (post poll traumatic stress disorder).

john this story probably has more substance than the AWU 'affair' , which isnt difficult , as in this case it isn't total fabrication.
