I appreciate the fact that some people 'like' him
Seriously though, what is he going to come out with next?
Aren't you even slightly concerned?

Abbott will be a liability in the areas of educational and training outcomes.. no doubt about that.
look at victoria's Tafe cuts.. training is essential so what do they do ? they cut it back... next comes the old rinehart call for skilled workers on 457 visas..
is that a proper long term approach to the labour market ?the LNP approach as previewed by premiers Napthine and Newman will create more unemployable people through lack of places and opportunity. backward looking and bad for everyone in the 2 sectors (not forgetting the growing line at centrelink) it wont take long to find this out if he gets in, sure he can be tossed out just as quickly, but the long term effects of such a lack of foresight last a generation at least.

If wer'e so rich how come we have such a large hole in our budget in the first place and If wer'e so rich why are they having to sack so many public servants and cut so many benefits and services to try to make up the shortfall?

it worries me greatly that he could possibly be our next pm. I am concerned at what does come out of his mouth and what doesn't come out at other times. Did you see his daughter cringe? If they try and bring in work choices again it will be a very sad day, but on the upside they will be kicked out again at the next election.

Go to Queensland and see all the cuts. We are broke according to the LNP. But we have money to build a you beaut $680 million tower to house Newman and his co horts.
Oh and do not get sick up there or you will be in dire straits. This is one reason I am very wary of Abbott and the LNP.
LNP Queensland cut cut cut.

Well the irony is that the QLD Lib govt has done exactl;y what the Liberal supporters say Rudd should have done during the crisis that was the GFC.
Natural resources and tourism dollars dried up so what does Qld do? Cut costs elswhere to save money. What happens instead? It affected manufacturing, tourism and public service jobs. Making the whole situation much worse than he supported those industries which are no not recoverable.
Yeah. Austerity. Great idea. Not.

FN: "What are all these services and benefits they're cutting?"
FN, if you ever consider researching, start with these:-
Work-related education expense
Public service reduction in funding over four years
The baby bonus
Family tax benefits
Dependent spouse tax offset
FBT
Superannuation tax concessions
University funding
Foreign aid.

I didn't ask you. I am at work and don't have time to research all day.
And I am sick of the nasty personal little digs you think it's ok to make at me when ever the mood takes you.
Isn't the baby bonus one of the causes for the structural deficit? Why should it not have been cut?
Did the universities lose funding that they already get of lose some of the future increases?

Steady on there freaky. You asked and you were answered. No need to get snaky just because you don't like the answer.
You got one of those letters re the LHC tax rebate from the government being discontinued?
That's something you won't need to research.
And the cigarette tax? Another desperation measure to try and claw some money back. Easy money because smoking's so hard to give up!
The bank deposit levy/tax in case there's another GFC?.
Excuse me but, last GFC Mr Rudd was able to steer us through it because there was a budget surplus left by the previous government!
