Abbott is a liability to this country

I appreciate the fact that some people 'like' him

Seriously though, what is he going to come out with next?

Aren't you even slightly concerned?

I didn't ask you. I am at work and don't have time to research all day.

And I am sick of the nasty personal little digs you think it's ok to make at me when ever the mood takes you.

Isn't the baby bonus one of the causes for the structural deficit? Why should it not have been cut?

Did the universities lose funding that they already get of lose some of the future increases?

Steady on there freaky. You asked and you were answered. No need to get snaky just because you don't like the answer.

You got one of those letters re the LHC tax rebate from the government being discontinued?

That's something you won't need to research.

And the cigarette tax? Another desperation measure to try and claw some money back. Easy money because smoking's so hard to give up!

The bank deposit levy/tax in case there's another GFC?.

Excuse me but, last GFC Mr Rudd was able to steer us through it because there was a budget surplus left by the previous government!

It's not not liking the answer, it's the nasty little digs all the time I don't like.

The bank levy deosn't start until 2016. It's not a large levy.

The smoking one, yep a bit mean to smokers. I had forgotten that one, thanks.

The budget surplus was not necessarily left by good management, from what I've read.

The baby bonus had to go eventually. Perhaps this mob should have axed it sooner to save more money.

Compared to the rest of the world we are doing ok.

FN I do not regard them as "nasty",  more so honest  comments based upon a history of jousting with you wherein i spend a lot of time researching replies to your off-the-cuff answers which often are lacking in substance/research, or are plainly incorrect. e.g:
FN: "nor is there a law against other FTTP networks "

"FN: "What are all these services and benefits they're cutting?"
Either you really do not know, or do not wish to,  I think the latter is applicable.

LL and myself joust all the time FN,  but at least LL provides content and experience within the ballistic  posts,  based upon knowledge and research,  it works!

I don't think anyone could honestly say they would be happy with TA being our PM.  The libs must be cringeing having him there, if they had Turnbull in they would be a shoe in (and not for one minute I think they should because they have no policies) but people are swayed by the media and what is written.  But this guy keeps coming out with his gafs day after day after day...embarrassing really.

Andrew Bolt that idiot, bashes the ALP on a daily basis, defends TA to the end of the earth but if KR made the sex appeal comments he would have a field day in his biased column.....unfortunately people read that rubbish and believe what he says, sad indictment isn't it?

Why are off the cuff comments not allowed? It's a chat forum, not an academic or scientific research forum.

You don't constantly make snide little sexist comments about LL as you do to or about me. You make what you must think are little jokes then add a silly disclaimer about FN reaction if I happen to see the comment. I usually bypass the comments because every time I react I get reported.

I have in the past provided plenty of researched information about the NBN and you always find a reason to claim it's not right.

I ask again where exactly have other FTTP networks been outlawed? And how was TransACT getting away with building their network until it was purchased by iinet then NBN Co if it was illegal? People in areas not yet covered by NBN are still able to purchase fibre connections from other network owners/builders.

Don't assume that because I don't have time to link back to documentation or senate estimates hansard documents to prove every comment I make about the NBN that I've done no research on that subject.

The backhaul network is largely owned by private companies as are the overseas links.

I saw Icy's comment while working and asked what the cuts to services and increased taxes were because I couldn't think of any off hand.  As soon as I saw her reply about smoking I remembered that and thanked her for the reminder. As for the baby bonus, much of the population had been complaining about that since it started. If you recall it was commonly refered to as the plasma TV scheme.

The way I understand the FBT changes is that people need to keep a log book (for 3 months every how ever many years) and pay FBT on the component that is for private use, rather than just claim the entire amount for business. I can't see what the problem is there either, unless I've missed something.
