Abetz: Breast cancer linked to abortion.

A day or so after our PM and Brandis came across as dills for not being able to explain their own policies. Abetz has come out and told us all that there is a link between breast cancer and abortion.

Is there ANY intelligence to be found in ANY individual in our current government?

Did they specifically recruit the dumbest possible candidates to sit in cabinet or what?

I think some must have only seen a snippet of the interview.  The interviewers weren't too aggresive, imo.

He just believes all fam-ill-eez should conform to his idea of what a fam-ill-eeez should be.

yes she does seem to.  i dont read much of her stuff

Icy, in regard to shoe size, and hair colour........I was classing similarities to 2 family members who had in fact died from breast  cancer.

They each had had surgical abortions in their late teens.

They each wore size 6 shoes

One was brunette

One was blonde

.......additionally, they went on to have children.

I am aware that there is a lot of investigations into the reasons that breast cancer (or any cancer) occurs in anyone.

Mr Abetz' assertion that abortions cause breast cancer is just as  feeble a reason as anyone having a size 6 shoe causes breast cancer, or that being blonde, or being brunette causes breast cancer.

Yes we can joke around - I'm the first to enjoy a joke......especially if it's about Abetz.....BUT this issue of giving women drugs that have been shown to cause death or breast cancer later in life or other nasty conta-indications is no joking matter.

Setting aside the issue of drugs=cancer in any area of medicine, I think there is a point has been slightly lost (or hijacked) in this thread.

Abetz was not pointing out the link between an abortion DRUG and breast cancer, he was making a link between ABORTION and breast cancer. This is what Mia was referncing from the lecture given at the World Conference of Families that he attended.

And besides all this, why is any government minister attending a controversial conference like the one from this group? Our politicians should be (or at least seen to be) neutral on subjects like this and should defintely not associate themselves with fringe groups that believe that gay people are infected by the devil, the pill is murdering women and that if you have an abortion you will get breast cancer.
