We have people spreading the hate for everyone from the PM to the disabled and refugees everyday.
Today we have Adam Goodes, who truly lived up to his name.

Yes me too. Originally felt Goodes reacted rightly before I knew what she actually said.
Once I knew what a child actually said, I thought. That's nothing. You can call anyone with long beard or hairy an ape or gorilla. Doesn't make it racist.
Also I agree being in Melbourne. Most of us have little to no interaction with aborigines to even have any discrimination against them.
THis episode just make the aborigines seem like cry babies.

racism in this country works BOTH ways
the majority of the australian population want and foster reconciliation on BOTH sides.......
the small minority do not - on BOTH sides

yes I agree.... I also think some on both sides should know better but I can only control what I do about it..... and hope I have instilled right from wrong in my children.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
When Greg Inglis plays for Queensland 3 times a year (because Bowraville is in Queensland...apparently)
... I boo whenever he touches the ball... play up like a broken ass I do....... as do many of my
Koori friends...it's a standing joke in Bowra at Origin time
But when he plays for the Bunnies 26 (I hope) times a year I cheer and cannot speak enough
of his skill to anybody who will listen..
He is a freak..... an awesome sporting freak...and a great bloke who really puts in for the
community.......
However those canetoads are the enemy that's my story and I am sticking to it. Any professional sportsman who is worried or even has the time to listen to the crowd then they are not concentrating on the important thing..... the game they are trying to win.
I support the bloods so you won't catch me booing at Goodes... but you won't catch me tarring
all the booers with the racist brush either

Well then explain WHY they only boo as Goodes comes out? Is he a lousy player? Does he make his team lose? Does he let his team down in any way? Is he a horrible person? Is he nasty to women? Or perhaps he dabbles in drugs off field? Does he not show up for training?
What is it that he does WRONG that deserves being booed at?
You don't think these people are booing him because of his stance on his race? What about the bloke that yelled out "Go back to your zoo"? recently? Still nothing to do with race?
Should also point out that his consideration about retiring is not just because he can't take it anymore or "concentrate on the game". He has mentioned that the booing is having a detrimental effect on his team mates and he doesn't want to be the cause of their game slipping up because he is the butt of this abuse. Is the whole team "unprofessional" because they are letting the booing get to them too?

Many beleive he is a sook who plays up the referees for penalties...google it Martini and then try and disagree
(refs have called him on it more than once)
How black is that Buddy Franklin... does he play for the bloods????
do the racists have their eyes ( and mouths) closed when Buddy has the ball???
I just can't hear the racism.
Cyril Rioli...do they boo Cyril?
Lewis Jetta.....Booo can you hear the boos????/
Explain selected racism to me... it is a concept I am unfamiliar with

and I might add at 34 going on 35...maybe it is time he thought about hanging up his boots regardless of the reason....
always best to out with a bang eh??

I don't need to explain racism to you. You're not a idiot.
But I can explain the racism against Goodes - he is proud of his heritage and everything he does reflects this. People don't like that.
This "sook" excuse is just that - an excuse. There are dozens of sportstars who query refs on penalties. Do these people get booed or get called "sooks"? No.
And don't bring other players into it. All of them have been subject to racism from spectators - Franklin being a good example. He is constantly getting called horrificly racist names. The difference is that Goodes makes a public show of fighting back. And good on him for this.

Why would he do that when he still on top of his game???
