Adelaide better than Sydney

Pretty obvious really, but Lonely Planet think so as well.

Great weather, beaches, affordable real estate, no traffic jams, fritz, pie floaters, best wine (& beer) in Australia, great produce, the list goes on.

As for "affordable" real estate, yeah, dirt cheap if you're on eastern state wages 😛

I like Adelaide & I like Melbourne because I live here. I like the way the country isn't far from the city in Adelaide, but I don't like the water. Love the old buildings, the sensible lay-out of the city & the antique shops ( if they're still there)

i remember when paul kelly released the song 'im never going back to adelaide'  and i immediately understood. nobody ever went to see him play, too many better acts around in those days. the angels and cold chisel played to fairly empty hotel lounges as well.

everyone was at the Austral watching the screaming believers or someone else instead.

Oh, I forgot, that's another thing I like about Adelaide, lots of good musos and creative people have come from Adelaide.
