Air Asia would say something like this.....they have vested commercial interests weighing very heavily in the balance.........especially as this is their third plane in a 12 months that has initially been reported as 'missing'............
"no distress calls......"
One reputable news site states that Air Asia ordered the plane to fly above thick cloud......................
Another reputable news site states that Air Asia said that plane requested to go to a higher altitude due to weather.........
.........will the flight boxes ever be recovered?.......like the case with first 'missing' plane.

The airline that lost 2 aircraft was Malaysian Airlines.
Air Asia is a different, low cost carrier.
Re the reports of flying higher, I did see one saying the request was 43,000 ft which I THINK is higher than
the A320 is cleared for but would need to check and it sounds suspiciously like media trying to get the jump
on others for the story.

Probably. I look every hour or so to see if they have found the wreckage and that's about it.
I just laugh at the conspiracy theories like Diego Garcia, an island bristling with military hardware.
Let the consiracy theorists have their fun, and throw in a reference to "chemtrails" and then sit back
with a drink and watch them go ballistic with that

now you are being silly aps. Glad that you brought up the issue of chemtrails though because I noticed that from Christmas eve (day) the skies were very very clear......not quite normal bright blue skies.....sort of light/hazy whitish blue but clearer than we have been experiencing for many many months.
Chemtrailing activity started with a vengeance overhead here in Bunbury yesterday......no doubt we will have to put up with much 'pea soup' skies for a while .
no conspiracy theory here......look up and see for yourself, if your sky is being 'messed' with.....then ask 'why?'

I live not far from Melbourne Airport. I see the aircraft releasing the chemicals both here and wherever I travel.
The Gov'ts have a lot to answer for, trying to subdue us with dosages of chemicals.

The Radar scans of the thunderstorms look awful.
Having spent a fair bit of time up NT way at this time of year and seen the monsoon trough roll in,
I'd hate to be in an aircraft near one of those storms.

An early theory that the AirAsia flight crashed because of the weather was also questionable.
Cannot rule out a terror-related incident.
An early theory that the AirAsia flight crashed because of the weather was also questionable, he said last night.
“It is the storm season but pilots fly in those sort of conditions all of the time,” Mr Hansford said.
“It is not an aircraft that just falls out of the sky.
“ If it was a mid-air collision, something else would be missing and it’s not – unless it collided with something from the military, which people would not want to hold their hands up to.
“Pilot error or pilot circumstances will obviously be explored or whether it is terror related or something in the cargo.”
Mr Hansford said last night he was confident the plane would be found.
“This isn’t the Indian Ocean like MH370. It is the Java Sea. I think we will see fuel in the water and seats on the surface, as well as wreckage washing up on nearby islands.”

A radar screenshot leaked from AirNav Indonesia shows the aircraft had turned left off the airway and was climbing through FL363, the speed over ground had decayed to 353 knots however.
