Annoying bits in movies.

Earlier I watched Titanic for about the 20th time. There are three things in the movie that always annoy me.

1. Had the lookouts not been gawking at Rose and Jack, they may have seen the iceberg earlier and hitting it may have been prevented.

2. Rose says, "I'll never let go", and then she lets go.

3. At the end she just tosses the diamond into the ocean.

I consider myself a romantic and understand the intended sentiment in the scenes, but I always get annoyed. Does anyone else react the same way, or is it just me?

I get annoyed with continuity, and things that don't make sense.

But when I yell at the TV, all I get in return is "Script, wife, script"

Hubby thinks I should suck it up just for entertainment.

But the scriptwriters should know their facts, not write things that the character wouldn't do.

Or that such and such wasn't invented for another 20 years.

I enjoy movies/TV shows, but I do get over involved   hahahahaha

Ads annoy me. A lot are stupid, like the Astra turbo one, with the dog's jowls supposedly showing the acceleration in each gear. The driver was letting it drop down to idle and taking 3 seconds for every gear change. No competent driver would do that - wears out the clutch and the synchros

I think she could have tried harder, or shared time on and off with him. But no. Totally unimpressed. Smiley Indifferent

Re: Annoying bits in movies.

Nfs,

Get exactly what you mean about annoying parts.

A scene in  "It's a Mad Mad World" had always annoyed me ever since I first watched it at the cinema as a kid.

The scene is when Sgt Culpepper (Spencey Tracy) is on the phone to his wife and daughter.

I had a large collection of dvds and it was one of them.

I eventually transferred them all onto portable hard drives and when doing a few of them I made 2 copies,

the original, and the sceond one I chopped out the scene that annoyed me.

Can now enjoy the movie without being triggered by it.

(Just thinking about that scene is annoying me)

Re: Annoying bits in movies.

Have you seen "Anaconda" where the waterfall is flowing upwards? What about the ones where everyone is firing guns and no-one gets hit?  As for Titanic, who would throw that diamond overboard in real life?? It's all Hollywood. In most of the films, if people acted logically, then there would be no film, or it would come to a very quick end. We have a laugh at it all, and realize it is just entertainment after all. If things annoy you so much, why bother to watch?

Star wars last movie.

Don't wish to spoil for anyone who hasn't seen it, but if they can save people by touching them, why couldn't they return the favour?
