Annoying telemarketers how do I block them permanently?

I've been getting the same annoying telemarketer ringing my mobile regularly between 5.30 and 7.30pm. They claim to be my bank and want me to verify to them WHO I am??? wtf.. They are ringing me and I have to verify to them...a bit odd I thought.  Anyways how do I put them on the blocked list, I've got a samsung galaxy phone s2. do I block it on the phone somehow or do I have to ring my phone company, anyone know?

no idea with mobile sorry, maybe ring the company you are with, see if they can help

with our home phone I rung the do not call register  we still do get some but not as many, I also have caller id so when they do ring I just don't answer it.
