Annoying telemarketers how do I block them permanently?

I've been getting the same annoying telemarketer ringing my mobile regularly between 5.30 and 7.30pm. They claim to be my bank and want me to verify to them WHO I am??? wtf.. They are ringing me and I have to verify to them...a bit odd I thought.  Anyways how do I put them on the blocked list, I've got a samsung galaxy phone s2. do I block it on the phone somehow or do I have to ring my phone company, anyone know?

are you sure it's not a scam? someone trying to get your details so they can steal your identity?

If you want to have a bit of a stir of them, put on your best old lady voice and say :EH?  you'll have to speak up as I am hard of hearing"   We have a game here to see how fast we can get them to hang up on us....

Or pretend you do not speak English......

But seriously the do not call register does work well 🙂  It will cut them down consideraable but you will still get the odd idiot like the "indian Microsoft computer with a virus' rubbish callers from overseas..

It isn't debt collectors calling you by mistake is it? They are very persistent and want the person who answers the phone to verify who they are.. name, DOB etc.

I was called by these people in error recently.

I have a feeling you are called in "error" by these people every time you make a credit card purchase 😞

Do what I do - as soon as you find out it isn't a legitimate call hang up. You aren't obliged to listen to anyone's crap.
