I also think it is interesting that the politicians that did NOT get caught in the Obeid corruption web (iemma and kenneally) were both Labor politicians.
Both also lost their positions as a result but at least they did what they could to fight the Obeid powerhouse.
I wonder how much resistance O'Farrell put forth?

Sky News - It's been reported that during yesterday Pork barrells' hands were shaking during his press conference which surprised people because he has "always been so confident at press conferences."
Remember these.......maybe a Royal Commission into the NSW State Govt is in order, from the gutting of the NSW Workers Compensation to the allowing of shooting in our National Parks and the financial rewards given to the Shooter's party, every thing they have done should be investigated.
Minister Greg Pearce punished with a month-long holiday
Shadow special minister of state Walt Secord said yesterday he would go as far as it took, including a possible appeal to the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, to get hold of the documents.
โIn Opposition, Barry OโFarrell promised openness and transparency, but in government we see otherwise,โ Mr Secord said.
Mr Pearce was sacked after failing to tell Premier OโFarrell about the conflict of interest in the appointment of his wifeโs boss to the board of Sydney Water.

Premier Barry OโFarrell refuses to answer questions about claims Greg Pearceโs staff shredded government documents
PREMIER Barry OโFarrell is covering for sacked finance minister Greg Pearce over the shredding of documents.
Daily Telegraph: Barry silent on Pearce shred
Mr OโFarrell refused to answer questions from The Daily Telegraph about who authorised Mr Pearce or his staff to shred documents, which documents were destroyed, and if any shredded documents related to Mr Pearceโs dealings with Liberal lobbyist and left faction leader Michael Photios.

Short term memory from the left... Lets see Craig Thomson being supported for years and now a convicted criminal, Ian Mcdonald and Eddie Obied being supported for years and will go down. Many more Labor members yet to be exposed all with connections to Eddie. Then you have the labor unions and Michael Williamson and others.
Barry was stupid over a bottle of wine..... BUT he fell on his sword and resigned quickly... UNLIKE the Labor lot.....
But how many more are going to fall from both sides over AWH and Eddie Obied.
More to come and more to fall from the corrupt touch of Eddie and NSW Labor.
Oh BOO HOO, It's all Labor's fault, everything is always Labor's fault.. BOO HOO HOO.
Blame Labor for everything, blame Labor for everything. BOO HOO, It wasn't me.. It wasn't me.
It was her, it was him, it was her, not me, never me.

there's more to this than just the the bottle of wine , there has to be
Geofrey Watson warned that he had more documents re O'Farrell.
I think the resignation was an attempt to divert further attention from himself.
Please note.....O'Farrell has resigned as Premier, not as a member of the NSW Parliament.

I am not into Liberal at all but I do like Barry as a person and I feel very sorry for what has happened to him.
For a liberal I thought he was pretty good for NSW, he stood up to Abbott and was one of the first to sign the Gonsky Report.
He broke that 13th commandment he got caught is all.

If you could go behind the scenes and see how anyone finishes up being a politician, you would be amazed at the enormity of corruption.
There is not one honest politician around anwhere in this world.
The moment an honest person wants to work for the good of the country and their people, they will be assassinated. I would like to see the person that is not in politics for selfserving reasons.
They are all corrupt one way or another, so please, stop arguing about who is the bigger crook.
