Uhmm, sorry my previous post should have been directed at Flashie.;-)
This person is driving me crazy. Someone else has her name as Elizabeth (Betsey) Greenhalgh while I and others have her as Susanna (Betsey) Greenhalch but I can't find any records for either.
The fact she seems to have been known as Betsey and had a grandaughter Betsey makes me think her name may have been Elizabeth.

Indigorose..............I will have a look for you over the next few days.
I am doing a tree at the moment for someone.............and although I am finding what I need....it is not coming very easily.............so it might take me a few more days to sort it out.
And I want to keep at it while the people are fresh inmy mind.............because after a while peoples names in their trees tend to slip my mind.

Indigo, there is a will available from the UK archives for a John Greenlagh who died in 1796. He was a weaver. If you think its possible he is one of the ancestors, you can buy the will for 3.50 pound. Its an online thing, so you just pay with a credit card and then download it.
Check with Ancestry first that they dont have a free transcript of it.

Hopefully that link will work.
They are extrememly difficult to read, so if you get it and have trouble, email it to me and I'll have a look.
I will have another quick look later and see what else I can find.

Thanks Flashie, I know what you mean about trying to keep the names in your mind.
Thanks Punch I will go and have a look at that and see if it fits in.
I am trying to track down the man who says her name is Elizabeth as opposed to Susanna. He apparently has done some research (when I don't know) of the town where some of the descendents migrated to so am waiting for someone from that towns historical society to contact me and hope they may shed some light on it.

Indigo, is it on Ancestry? Is your tree public? I'm having trouble getting my head around it the way you have written it in your post. i think I need to see it laid out better.
Punch, it is on Ancestry and it is public, if you are searching via tree name it is under my surname which hopefully you still have from my emails.
Sorry this is quite confusing.
It is Susanna (Betsey) Greenhalch 1773-1862 on my tree which I have the query on. I have Betsey in there just as a reminder to myself that that is what others have, no official anything to suggest it is a real name.
She was born 1773 (Susanna Greenhalch) but I now think she died a few months later and it is Susanna Greenhalch born in 1781 that is the ancester.
That is my 1st query....Though now something else has popped up. Someone says her name is "Elizabeth (Betsey) Greenhalgh"
I have nothing to indicate that and I don't think it is correct, the Susanna in my tree has a mother, daughter, granddaughter and grt granddaughter all called Susanna (with various spellings)
It is because I am trying to double/triple check stuff that I found this. . So many gaping holes, lol.
As to the person who said she was Elizabeth, well I am trying to track him down in Victoria.
