Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

They are all a mix of my grandmother as a child and great grandparents, great aunties and uncles etc. Lady on her own is my great great grandmother on another side of my family.

This is my great great grandparents.  Henry John Willson  and wife Mary (nee wiseman). They married in 1861. Photo was taken in 1911.  I think the chap in the bowler hat (in first photo) looks like he was a bit of a cheeky one.

Anyone else want to share some old photos? Love to see them as well.

That's such an interesting photo Matega.  My word I hope it's winter and not summer the way they are dressed.  Where were they living?

I am just wondering if they have any connection to the Wisemans of the Wisemans Ferry area just up past Windsor in NSW.

I will see what I can rustle up later ๐Ÿ™‚

They are wonderful photos.  Very clear quality. I love the beach scene and your g-g-grandmother is very much a Victorian lady.  Thanks for sharing.  ๐Ÿ™‚

This is my husbands Great Grandfather...he lead a very unusual life......he was a ships carpenter....and ended up a Master Mariner........and was one of the last Light House keepers here.

It is quite uncanny how much my husband looks like his Great Grandfather.
