I've been trying to find death records for a husband and wife in the late 1800's. I have spent a small fortune on BDM records serching every possible spelling of the name and buying copies of every death record that had a remote chance of being one of them.
The sad thing is, I'm not even 100% sure they died in Victoria. Do you think the CD would help me?

their deaths should be on the cd's if they died in victoria
you could try asking someone to do a lookup either here or on one of the geanealogy web sites

Hmmm, something to think about. So if I cant find the names at all on the BDM site, is it still possible they would be on the CD? Or are all the same names there, but its just that you buy the CD instead of paying for each website visit?
And I assume its just an index isnt it, I would still need to use the BDM if I wanted a copy of the actual record?
Sorry for all the questions ๐
