Another way of finding children of a couple on ancestry is to put hte surname in the top search area.......no christian name.
The put fathers name (under father).....and mithers name (under mother).
That sometimes shows deaths too.
Thanks ๐ I found three more ๐ from one family
I'm not listening to you again flashie :^O

What is the best way to find out to search death records in Melbourne in the last 10 or so years?
My Mum used to write to her cousin there for decades and then she stopped getting letters from the cousin. The age of the cousin would be very late 80's to 90's. She may not be deceased though, could be in a home not able to communicate. She had 1 son.
My mother just wonders what happened to her.

Mine is my great great grandfather................16 children I know of........2 more he is rumoured to have fathered
One of Mr Elephant's ancestors had 14 children and 136 (yes that's right one hundred and thirty six) grandchildren. Mr Elephant loves to tell people that she had them all round for tea every Sunday.

I think the best way to go would be to try and contact the son.
Most states have a 30 year rule about getting copies of death certificates if you are not direct family.
Electoral roles...................are available in most libraries......and local newspaper maybe worth a look too.

Try the Ryerson index, its an index of death notices, obviously every death is not there, but you might get lucky.

Last night I pressed search the web on a great Aunt, and it came up with two records of a W.A. newspaper and piano exam results.
She was a Catholic nun and all her electoral records say 'teacher', she was probably one of those Catholic nuns that used to rap you over the knuckles if you didn't do your scales right :^O
Feathery strokes, feathery strokes :^O
Anyway it was amazing to come up with that.

Thoughts please.
Details I have and am questioning now.
Susannah born Jan 1773 (there is a record for this)
married 1797 (24yrs age)
I have taken this to be an ancester however upon rechecking have found same parents (I think, as same names) have another Susannah in 1781. So I then go check and find this
Burial: 6 Apr 1773 St Mary, Radcliffe, Lancashire, England
Shusanah d. of John Greenhalgh dier
Is this the 1st Susannah that has died? I am not sure as most the family BMD seem to be at Collegiate, Manchester, Lancashire, England and Radcliffe is a few miles away.
I am thinking the 2nd Susannah is the ancester so therefore she would have married at age 16?
Census records no help as they have a Susannah born about 1777, right in between.
Have trawled quite a few sites and can come up with nothing much other than what I have here.
