Just a comment on the American preoccupation with Royalty. Some of you here will know that I am married to a Canadian and there are also a number cousins in the US. Our surname is hyphenated....Middleton-xxxxxx, although we mostly use just the last part. My husband's parents were born in England.
I recently heard from an American cousin who informed me that Middleton was the maiden name of their great great grandmother, who brought the name into the family surname.
This cousin and our nephew are now busily trying to establish a link between the American Middleton-xxxxxx family and the newest British Princess (their terminology, not mine).

Your on the money Flashie with the saint. One of them started a benadictine nunnery at Nivelles and then joined herself after the death of her husband. (Saint Itta) Her daughter then took over and she became Saint Beggue.
All the royals are from France, belgium, germany etc no USA so Im pretty sure we are on the right track. I just love some of the names Charles Karl "The Hammer" Martel Mayor of the palace Austrasia, (He sounds like a thug), Regnier III "Long neck" Count of Hainault, (he sounds like a turtle.) Its so interesting but so addictive Ive done nothing today but play with dead people.
