Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

Apols Darksideofthemoon I get you and flashies avatars confused, I know dog/cat but after hours chasing around diff names it all gets confusing as you know. Not to get off topic but if interested to see someone that Simon Cowell called a dog that sounds like a cat (amazing voice) have a look at the link below.

Your welcome Tende.....I got so excited that I sent you pages of censuses from a man that wasn't even yours.....I got carried away with the John's.

Kengillard.....I would say you are correct.

Oh my goodness that young man's voice.. it's beautiful.. Yes Welsh of course.. they really do turn out some magnificent singers don't they.

Has anyone watched (on pay TV) "Last Choir Standing?" it's wonderful and the Welsh Choir is wonderful.

been cleaning up my father's side of the family... it's a bit like wading through treacle... but we are slowly getting there I think. B-)

I have decided it is important to make sure everyone has a pic of some sort... usually I resort to Family Crests or, failing that, Country or County crests... then when I start to week out the copies in 'people' I know who I am working with... makes a HUGE difference.

Been a busy day, so will see ya all tomorra ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi all!

This is a great thread! I too have been doing some work on my family tree.

I only started a little while ago as I was desperately trying to find out more about my Nans birth (she was adopted) family before she died, I kept hitting dead ends and didnt get very far so started working on my Pas family name, have gone back as far as 1598 which was very exciting!

Today I found out that my great grandfather was discharged from war because he had hammer toe lol

Amazing the little details you find.

Keep up the great work everyone ๐Ÿ™‚
