Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

I just re-read some of it...Kaya, you said that your Father said that he had to call his Grand Father Mr Hird/Hurd .If so,to me that sounds as though he may have been  a Step Grand Father /partner of his Grand mother rather than his biological Grand Father ?

Did you manage to get certificates ?

If you lose your tangent on what you were searching for - by getting sidetracked on the ebay boards - you have to start all over again ;/

Hi Kaya,

Do you know how to tag posts ? It may help you to tag the posts in this thread which relate to your ancestry ?

Also if you google search

Lumb Family - Yorkshire (Stainland, Old Lindley)

and

Yorkshire Lumb family

may bring up some results which may be of interest to you .

and perhaps also ?
