Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

I am hoping to get some quiet time today to lay out papers & folders & have another look over some info that I collected years ago..
you never know, sometimes something that may be significant might pop up-I live in hope

A suggestion, do not look on Trove unless you are prepared for the possibility of finding something rather unsavoury about a loved one. It could cause problems.

No longer living, died 30 years ago. It was my grandfather. After reading his military record I knew he was a bit of a naughty boy, and mum (his daughter) has always said "he was a bit of a buggar".:^O

I was'n't hurt, a little uncomfortable and then worried about how mum would take it, thankfully she is fine. It's her siblings that would have major problems if they found out.

I am trying to find out more info, thats why I asked about South Australian court records a couple of weeks ago.

I don;t know much about court records....but as your grandfather has passed you might be able to apply for court transcripts.....that is if that is what you wish.

I do now, I've checked out the SA public records office and I'll have to phone them as the year that I want is listed as restricted, which means I have to apply for the record to be assesed.
