I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

I think something we must always bear in mind is that our relatives in the past did things for their own reasons and really, it isn't for us to judge and certainly not to be ashamed of.
We aren't ashamed of our convict rellies and now also we are able to admit to rellies who are of mixed races..
In my lines I have murderers, war lords, one broth and sister union, no doubt numerous ilegitimate offspring, and who knows what else?
Maybe one day someone will judge us when we know what we do has good reason and they won't hear abou that.
So whatever your rellies have done that doesn't look good, relax and enjoy the fact that, if nothing else, they did one good thing one night and here you are :^O
