Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

Thanks again FLashie.

I am going to order his birth certificate so lets hope that sheds some light. I wish it was as easy as get Australian Certificates!

Chuk feel free to message me the details and I will have a look for you, I currently have WW access to ancestry. I am sure anyone who posts in this thread would be more than happy to help!

There's definitely some kind of link between the Bustins and Underhills. The Bustins had another boarder 10 years earlier, he was George Rathbone, a nephew from Leamington. There were also some Bustins in Leamington. I wondered whether Mary Bustin was born Skinner, but I think she was Hitchcox.

So sorry, some how I missed this! I have just been looking again and I think you're right about the Bustons and Underhills having some type of connection and it is very interesting that they had another boarder earlier on.

Thank you, I really appreciate the time you (and others too) have spent looking!

Have you found your own family tree mojo yet and done any research over the last few days?

Received Chuk.

Punch I think you might be onto something ....Mary Bustin nee Hitchcox was older than Edward Bustin......her age varies on census from 1807 to 1811....so it is quite possible Edward Bustin is her second husband.

I have found the birth for Edward Bustin.....born 26-12-1817 to John and Mary.

I will look into in after I have finshed Chuks search.

I have one more week off work so I will search as much as I can.

flashie, Edward was living with the Hitchcox family in the 1841 (I think) census.

Matilda, I have done nothing with my own family tree for months. Having dramas with the living members of the family.

i enjoy doing little searches for people though.

chuk, is it ok if we all post on here what we've discovered, or would you prefer to keep the names private? I think sometimes it helps if we can all bounce ideas off each other.

I did make a note of that Punch......Edward Bustin was some sort of travelling saddler at the time.
