Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

Septipus........can you message me the names of his daughters.

We maybe able to find something on the Scottish census if they lived there.

If we can find them there it shoud list a place of birth.

Although his son was sure his father was born in Ireland it wont hurt to keep looking at teh possibility that Inverness is the correct place of birth.

This is a hard one.:^O

This is the details of the only marriage in Scotland that an Alexander Stewart married a Martha from 1815 to 1840.

I will put it here incase we need it again later.

Alexander Stewart married Martha Brown 13-7-1835 Baroney Lanarkshire Scotland.

Father of the bride...John Brown.

I am now going to see if we can include or eliminate them on Ancestry.

It is driving me batty too.

What Septipus has must be correct if family letters back it up.

I just can not find any records which support it.

There is a martha born in Scotland 1833 with the parents Alexander and Martha......but not with the surname Stewart.

But his daughter in America consistently says on the censuses that she was born abt 1832 in Scotland......then why can;t I find her birth.:_|.....I have looked under both spellings of Stewart.

I can;t find Alexander Stewart on any censuses.....but if he was married and living in Scotland and had Martha to his first wife Martha and then moved to America.....and then to Australia and married here in 1842......he was never in one place long enough to leave a paper trail.:_|
