Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

What were you hoping they could do for you Punch.

I have sent your stuff to you.

Thanks flashie.

I didnt really want them to do anything for me. I figured if they were trying to track the convicts, they might appreciate the information.

It is up to you Clair.....but I always check the information first.

But you will learn to decide which trees on ancestry that are researched well.......compared to those who are "name collectors"

I once found my parents in another ladys tree..............and I was a tad shocked.............so I asked her how we were connected......and she said it was through an ancestor back in 1703...:O.........when I checked this ancestor I found his death in 1708............so no way was he realted to my mother over 200 years later.

I found that a little creepy.

Punch.............I am getting a tad annoyed at the dude who wrote theparish records at Hemingby.

Before we could not tell who the parents were of Henry Marshall......whether his mother was Sarah or Mary.

Well he has done it again.

County Lincolnshire

Place Hemingby

Church St Margare tRegisterNumber
Date Of Birth
Baptism Date 23 Jan1820

Forename Henry

Sex M

Father Forename David

Mother Forename Mary

Fathe rSurname RICHARDSON

Mothe rSurname
Abode
FatherOccupation
Notes

Source Freereg.

And then we have this.

parents:David Richardson,โ€‹ Elizabeth

name:Henry Richardson

gender:Male

baptism/christening date:23 Jan 1820

baptism/christening place:HEMINGBY,LINCOLN,ENGLAND

father's name:David Richardson

mother's name:Elizabeth

Source Family search.

One is taken from the Parish record.....one is taken from the bishops transcripts.

How on eaerth do I know which one is mine.

His mother has to be Elizabeth for him to be mine.

I did find a marriage in hemingby for Elizabeth and David....so I am leaning toward that............what do you think?

These are only side realitives..............so it is Ok to discuss it here....I can not be identified by these relatives.

Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

Yeah thanks flashie, I mean some hints are obviously way off but there are at least two families searching my fathers side of the family so what they have found I added but I've only gone back to my great grand parents so far and one great great grandparent, that's the one I'm hoping is right!
