I watched the Vince Colosimo WDYTYA this morning ......I had not seen that one.
There was one part in there that really touched my heart.
His grandmother was one of twelve children.
And over 2 days in 1915 her family lost four boys.
Her father had to put them on his ox wagon and take them to the cemetery and bury the first two himself...........no one attended the funeral.
Then he had to go and get the other two sons and take them and bury them alone also.
Apparently he never shaved again from that day on...........and often was seen to ask God what did he do that was so wrong that he would make him lose 4 of his sons so close together.
I just could not imagine the pain he must have felt..........and to have to bury them alone.
The said on the show that the boys most likely died of Malaria............and as the boys probably slept in the same room that is why it did not effect any of the girls of the family.
They also said that people would not have attended the funeral as they feared it was contagious.
