Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

sigh..
it will take a miracle, I think, to get much more on him

Flashie you have mail ๐Ÿ™‚ another challenge for you :^O

Gee it's hard when someone has married twice and offspring from both marriages later blend into a rellie...

They may be cousins once or three times removed or whatever, but it finally comes down to 'who were their parents and grandparents' and suddenly you have someone who is

...15th g/grandfather OR the husband of your 17th great grandmother... it gets so confusing and I have deleted and rebuilt several times now..

Oh well, onward and upward I s'pose ๐Ÿ™‚

Blackcatt, I'd try contacting the Baptist Church in Broken Hill proper. If the church in South BH has closed, then the records would probably be transferred to BH. No harm in asking the questions. ๐Ÿ™‚

I work in a church office and have the records going back to when the church started in our suburb, so hopefully yours are still there and possibly have more info on them than was sent to the BDMs.

Thanks for all the positive vibes ladies , she is still causing me some grief though. I will soldier on though for now and if she drives me crazy will call upon the legendary flashie for help.

Mon make sure you ask all the rellies at the wedding for any info they might have.

Happy searching ladies

thanks, 2chappies, that is encouraging..

.I will see if I can find any contact details for a Baptist Church in BH..
as you say, no harm in asking and that is (as far as I can think at the moment) my only option..

if they dont have anything then at least I know I tried

๐Ÿ™‚ This is the Baptist Church site for NSW and there doesn't appear to be one in Sth BH now.

Matega, unfortunately previous generations my family have passed away but I might hit up Kate's OH's family for their history. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm very interested as Kate's future FIL is Liverpool-Irish. :-x

May as well Mon it all adds to your future grandchildrens tree and helps to paint the whole picture. Better take a notpad to the wedding, perhaps even check their heritage before the marriage goes ahead ๐Ÿ™‚ make sure they are worthy of joining your family.
