Are People Merging with Their Smartphones?

Have you looked around lately? The zombie apocalypse is already here. It's as if people have merged with their smartphones, as if the device is now a part of their bodies like another hand or another foot.

Reality is becoming a little less real by the day. Can you even imagine what it will be like when virtual reality hits the mainstream?

It's amusing to watch the women as they negotiate the stairs at Wynyard railway station. Two eyes searching the screens of the mobiles as they descend the stairs in high heels. Amazingly talented. I wonder what could be so interesting at 7:40am to make them want to be wedded to their phone screens.

'Charmaine, I'm just teetering down the stairs at Wynyard railway station in six inch stiletto heels, and going to catch the 7:45am train to work. I'm also wearing a nice red DKNY mini skirt, and Stella McCartney top. Not a good hair day though...LOL'.

You just reminded me of another use for my phone.  I used to read the newspaper online on it on my way to work (when I worked). Now I read them online on my iPad.

What's the use of the frothy-haired fashion icon dressing to the 9's if everybody is gazing at their screens?  Nobody's looking at you girl.....except Village P who is awaiting your downfall so that he can rescue a damsel in distressSmiley Happy

And what about those smouldering glances across a crowded platform?

ls, I have to employ my collision avoidance system when navigating my way around the city. It would be distressing if one of those screen jockeys bothered to look up now and then to make sure they don't walk into you. Is there a 'collision avoidance' app available to screen jockeys? Lifting your gaze now and then might mean you miss something important like a picture of what  K Kardashian is wearing. Shame.
