If so, do you deserve to go to hell?

The story of Lot and Lot's wife have baffled me for ages. Does anyone know what moral lesson we're suppose to get from the story? Is God saying incest is OK?

Re: Are you a sinner?

It means don't disobey God. Remember, religion is a form of totalitarianism.

I have no problem with personal faith. It can make you a better person and be a source of enormous strength and comfort in times of grief or need. It's only when it becomes discriminatory and dictatorial that it causes harm. I rather like the Wiccan  Rede: 'An' it harm none, do what ye will'.

It's good to see more posters getting interested in the Apocryphal gospels. Once we've all got our books, maybe we can start a dedicated thread to discuss our findings

Great idea Elephant ................... bty the I hope the print in your book is a tad bigger than it is in ours

My Apocryphal New Testament arived yesterday- all 700 odd pages of it!Smiley Surprised

It's going to keep me busy for quite a while, so you'l have to be patient till i've digested enough of it to form any opinions.

Luckily the prrint size is quite reasonable.

Ours has around 578 pages, no wonder the print is so small
