I just read that it took 12 police officers to arrest him.
Is that true?
Not sure how many but they took 3 patrol cars and paddy wagon. Sounds like overkill to arrest a person for making fun of them. If he had pushed someone he would have been charged with assault. The LNPs campaigners waved in photos with him then got angry when they realized what they'd done. Sucked in big time :D:D:D

There was no threat, there was no danger to anyone. It was absolutely an over reaction.

yes that does seem extreme unless you have had first hand extreme with police.
A good friend of mine had five turn up for him, his crime was ignoring a bouncer that was refusing him entry back to an area of the hotel where his partner and daughter were waiting after he went and purchased drinks after their meal, apparently the hotel doesn't allow tank tops in that area (A beer garden) after 8pm and wouldn't even allow him to get his partner and daughter.
No arrest just escorted from premises, posibly due to the whole police interaction being videoed

WORLD AUSTRALIA A Guy Got Arrested by 10 Cops for Wearing an ‘I’m With Stupid’ T-shirt
He was charged with public nuisance
A man from Queensland, Australia, was arrested Thursday by a group of 10 police officers for wearing an “I’m With Stupid” T-shirt while he stood and waved next to campaigners from the state’s Liberal National Party (LNP).
Iain Fogerty, who runs a Twitter account parodying Queensland Premier Campbell Newman, was charged with public nuisance, theCourier Mail reports.
Meanwhile, Fogerty’s Twitter feed is going crazy with parody photos of people wearing “I’m With Stupid” T-shirts.
