It has gone to far and needs pulling way back with criminals losing their human rights until they re earn them.
You are the type that puts their views and HR before everything else, well, the time has come for the other way.
I see that you can't balance your argument without purile insults so I'll just say this and leave you to it.
I would prefer our laws are drawn up from valid research and with evidence and fairness.
We have fought in wars to support freedom for others as well as ourselves. And freedom includes fairness. You obviously ignored the part where I clearly stated that if found guilty then they should be punished.

Vic I do wonder where all the strong leaders have gone, why do politicians today just seem so wishy washy, is it just me ๐

No, Lionrose, it is not just you.
For the same reason I have voted neither left or right at the last few elections.

One thing that stands PM Abbott in good stead is that he's basically a good man, an honourable man.
That in itself is more than enough for me after the insane lunacy of Rudd, the political opportunist, and the back stabbing betrayer (Gillard) who did him in.
Now we are faced with a man, term used loosely, (Shorten) who may become PM of this country, a machine man.
