Seems to be a lack of threads for blokes.
On other threads,some ladies have mentioned, their OHs
would post, but had no interest in most of the threads on offer.
I can bump this thead twice a day,so its easy to find.

jv, I've been dealing with Telstra today - reckon all together I've been on the phone nearly 3 hours.

All I agreed to was to increase gig from 100 for $80 to the current rate of 500 for $80 - no extra charge.

I knew I would have to pay something but the $80 for a month in advance would be offset by the $80 I paid in advance for the last contract.  They said they would send me an estimate.

Well, the estimate for the first account arrived on a pdf document - $17,448.49 payable for the first month, $95 every other month.  How long does it take to correct things - I had to tell them where to find that plan (under home broadband). they didn't know what verify meant!!  Went from one person to another, got hung up on - why is it so hard to deal with them?  I only took the new contract because 500 gig would probably be enough for all of us when we move with no extra cost to us thus saving Matt and Kim money. 

Anyway, I asked to cancel the new plan and stay where were but they sort of ignored that request.  In the end, I asked how long the cooling off period was - 5 days.  They said they would send me a new estimate account in 7 days.  I said I want it in 4 or I cancel.  We'll see - what a waste of time.

Found a computer I fancied in HN's end of financial year sale - didn't have one in stock but paid a deposit and ordered it - should be here next week.  I'll slowly change over and try and get used to windows 10.  It's a HP same as I've got now.

LINDA I went to the ortho surgeon today.  First up he asked how the cortisone injection went.  I said how long does it take to work - up to 3 weeks!  I said I thought it hadn't worked after 3 days but things starting improving 3 weeks later - now I know why.  Hope it doesn't go backwards when the injection works off.  We've agreed no operation unless my arm gets bad again.  I am discharged unless I need to go back. 

Freddie, don't think they have your plan now so stay on it.

Richo, just a phone call by no. 1 son could get more gigs for no extra.  Plans are more generous these days.  You're nearly paying what freddie pays - she gets 50 g - you get 8!  Save you worrying about running out.

I get by except when window do a heap of updates.

Richo the updates are important to keep your puter running

without problems. Telstra are horrendous if you have problems

more so if you can't speak to an Aussie -

Sandy - when you ring them and the machine asks what you

are ringing for say "complaints" that way you get the right section.

Richo do you have the NBN?

Freddie-NBN is ready to connect .

With all the negativity from local households and shop owners-

would never go near it.........a nightmare for some.

Richo - unfortunately you have no choice but to connect to the NBN.

After it comes to your area you have a certain time frame to select a 

provider and change to the NBN before they turn off your current connection.

That's when you will need to ask your son to help you. I've been hooked up

for over 12 months now and had no issues at all. I was paying $79 a month

they actually rang me with a better deal for pensioners $59 so I changed and

have been on that deal for about 6 months without any problems.
