It is a difficult time for you.

When I read your post, it struck a nerve because today is the anniversary of my own father's death and that was passing through my mind just this morning.

Thank you all.

My father died last night, not long before midnight.  He can rest peacefully now.

My mother is coping well, she has other family members visiting, and the nursing home staff are wonderful.

We'll go back down soon.

I’m deeply sorry about your loss; it is one of the hardest things to bear.

My beloved father has been gone from this world for almost five years and I still find it an ache in my soul. I also never cease to be glad that he was my papa, jokingly called papadopoulos, papaschen, and more.

mtc, I hope it is of some comfort to know that your dad lived for over a century and remained (so I sense) close to all of you.

My father never made 'old bones' passing one week before his 47th birthday.

He's now been gone longer than he lived.

You have been fortunate to have had both parents for so long.

Everybody's house still intact?

With all the wind over the last few days, my house has been swaying.

The Great Wall of a gate is now non-working.

Unfortunately, it gave up the ghost 1 day before these dreadful winds kicked in, so no insurance claim for me  😱😭
