BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Seems to be a lack of threads for blokes.
On other threads, some ladies have mentioned, their OHs
would post, but had no interest in most of the threads on offer.
I can bump this thead twice a day,so its easy to find.
Give it a go---Richo.

Think the plane disappeared beneath the water we are getting.

Sheesh - 2 days of downpour - but still standing.

Hope all are doing OK.

Have been thinking of you Dom and wondering about the weather in your parts.

Glad to see you don't need Noah.

But I think you're on high ground?

Upside, the garden doesn't need watering.    tenor.gif

Stawks - we here are just getting heaps of rain - but no flooding.

Not a bit like further north.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

A quick trip to Sydney to visit seriously ill family members has turned into almost a week - our house is OK but we can't get home due to floods and a landslip or two.

Hoping we can get though on Saturday.

Bonus - said family members are happy to spend more time with us, albeit short visits.

Negative - the motel and food is costing us a fortune! (but it is delicious)

2nd negative - we'll have to go the long way home, as the short way is blocked by a landslip or two as well as the flooding.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

I hope the family member is doing as well as possible.

No floods here, and even though we expect showers tomorrow, it is highly unlikely to be enough to drown so much as a worm. I feel for those caught in those torrential downpours.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Unfortunately my father is palliative and has days to a couple of weeks left.  His 100+ year old body is giving up.

My mother is in extreme pain due to crumbled vertebrae.  Her heart is already bad, so who knows how long she will be with us.

So, we'll go home for a short time, but will be back.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

A very sad time for you and the family.

My sympathies.

You have been extremely lucky to have had them both for so long.
