Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Was reading the online news a earlier, and came across this.

 https://au.news.yahoo.com/parents-horrified-santa-meltdown-front-children-210635974.html

I needed a laugh, and had this mental picture of a crazed Santa Claus running around in circles yelling and screaming. Smiley LOL

Wifey come into the room and asks whats so funny. I let her read and she has a laugh.

She then says to me, remember the incident with Santa up the coast.

I had forgotten about it.

It was long time ago, 25 plus years..

We lived midway between the Central Coast and Newcastle.

We went to a shopping centre  in the southern end of the Newcastle region called Charlestown.

When we walk into the centre is it absolute mayhem, police are everywhere , kids crying, parents holding their kids

trying to comfort them, we are both wondering what has happened, we continue to walk and the cops have Santa in handcuffs,

as well as another guy, both are probably in their teens or early 20s.

What had happened, these 2 guys decided that one of them would dress up as Santa, and the other would get into an argument

with Santa, Santa goes to walk away and the other guy gets angry and pulls out a gun. (a cap gun)

Santa starts running for his life and the other guy start shooting, and Santa falls to ground dead. Smiley LOL

Kids start screaming, thinking that Santa has just been murdered, and probably thinking that they won't be getting any presents.

These two idiots were arrested and charge (can't remember what the charges were) and both ended up in court.

I looked on the net to see if there was anything about it so I could post a link, but can't find anything pertaining to it.

I needed a good laugh, and wifey reminding me of it has made my day.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Haha Trav-classic story-in the wrong place at the right time...

In the USA-the young blokes would have been shot by the coppers.

Have a story about a santa who was supplied a nice suit by a local

publican to hand out bags of lollies to kids while  200 folk had xmas lunch.

What happened in the am in the suit and at the lunch is only

suitable for telling around the campfire on blokes trips away.Man Embarassed

Forecast was rain and 22c -atm sunny and 25c.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Would love to hear that one, Richo.

When we lived in the area there was a lot of odd happenings.

We would often go to the Newcastle speedway on Saturday nights and take the kids.

One night a couple of cops are dragging away a guy and a woman.

We had no idea what had happened, drunk, an argument, who knows.

Then we read in the local paper, that the both of them were arrested for performing lewd acts with a Pluto pup.

(those coated frankfurts on a stick)

The mind boggles as to what they were doing.

Some time later it was reported they were each fined a $1000, at the time I was earning around $350 a week.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

icho, we broke a round microwave in the caravan when we had it.  I didn't remov it when we travelled and it

fell out.  I was going to suggest the op shop as that's where we got ours.

Yes Trav, good to try and keep the peace even when you need to get a point across.  I hope the neighbour understands.

I know a lot don't like Christmas but I must say I love it - the grandchildren make all the difference.  Kim and I have

just come back from the plaza where we were caught up in the Christmas spirit.

We have visitors coming up for a week just after Christmas.  We are excited to see them as they a fun people.  I booked

a river cruise today for when they are here.  Only 2 hours and includes a devonshire tea.

Hey richo, I saw Russell Northe got back in.  I didn't think he would make it after the poor media reports.  Hd played footy

for Traralgon many years ago and I didn't mind him.

Matt and Milla are home - Matt came home through Shepparton, Yarrawonga and back to Wodonga - he had to unload

and load again at Wodonga.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Arvo all,

Nice to see you back Richo.

HL  used to be Santa every year, may years ago.   Has his own long white hair and

had his own white beard at the time.

He couldn't handle it either (but he didn't go into a meltdown in front of the kids)

He could handle the kids ok, but it was the mothers that he wanted to yell at, and the

way they treated their kids.

It was not a fun outing for anybody, let alone the poor kids.

I've had more rain here last night and today.    Not home so I can't look at the gauge.

I know I had about 64mm yesterday and more overnight.  Garden is loving it, combined

with the odd burst of sunshine.

Mushie weather........if you can trust what you pick

20 deg atm and a tad cool.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Frank was Santa for about 25 years for Deearne's ballet school Christmas concerts.  Trouble with

Frank is he talked too much and it took ages for the kids to get off the stage.  lol

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Just as I made the last post, the house shook with a very loud clap of thunder.

Poor daughter is out in that lot - it's raining, again!

Sandy you're sounding a lot better.  Hope that you are feeling a lot better too.

Busy time is Christmas - please don't overdo it.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Arvo Sandy & Stawks,

Have just been hit with a big thunderstom, heavy rain and lightning.

Sandy, I hope you and Richo have not jinxed me with braking the mirco plate. Smiley Wink

Stawks,

I had planned to buy a good Santa outfit, have plenty of lollies and small chocolates in the pockets and go to the

my local a couple of days before Xmas to spread the Xmas cheer, but they closed the club.

I am glad I didn't spend the dollars on the outfit.
