BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Seems to be a lack of threads for blokes.
On other threads, some ladies have mentioned, their OHs
would post, but had no interest in most of the threads on offer.
I can bump this thead twice a day,so its easy to find.
Give it a go---Richo.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Glad you had a great day, Richo.

The fresh air will give you a good night's sleep tonight.

That website has a 'Now' button to see what the Port's like before you leave home.

That could be handy, I thought.

Christmas is coming so fast, we've seriously thought about doing it on January 26th instead.   We're certainly not ready for it.

The grocery bill is always astromical for starters.   Too many bills have come in for both daughter and myself.

Then all the cooking....

The other thought we've had is to just have a big family get together on Boxing Day - that's the twins' birthday.

We'll see.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

You caught fish richo !!!   I think that is the first time I've known you to catch some.  Good on you.  Did

you hook a gummy?

Raining on and off today.  Matt & Kim have ordered 2 new lounge suites and we were hoping they

wouldn't arrive until closer to the move.  They rang today to say they were both in so they've gone to

pick up 1 at least.  We've been cleaning he old one with carpet cleaner and hope to sell it quickly.

Frank's decided not to go with Matt this time.  He is not leaving until midnight as he has a 4.30am unload

and his new load is not until 2 so he will have a nap at home then nap after he has unloaded in the

morning.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Stawka, we're having a very laid back Christmas.  We have a small tree for the kids

but we've promised them that net year we will put more effort in.

We have having roast meats and hot gravy rolls for lunch and a pav at the beach then

roast turkey for dinner.

We are not going to our local beach but to where there is an inlet so it's calmer

for the kids to try their SUP Boards.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Hahaha Sandy.   He didn't say he caught them, but I hope he caught at least one or two.

I've been meaning to ask....when you finally get into your house, are you going to get

back into crafting?

You must miss your weekly get togethers with the ladies in your ladies cave.

Or has life suddenly become more interesting due to the great weather and locale?

Sometimes when you stop doing something, after a while it just seems too much effort

to get going again.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Good afternoon, all.

Storms have gone, & and has been a warm day.

Sandy, wifey was stoked that I got the 3 pics done.

I think the east coast got the same storm as you have mentioned.

Richo,  Glad to hear you had a good day out.

My father in-law told a story (not sure if it was true) that a guy he knew went to the fish markets, and bought some fish.

When the guy wrapped up the fish, he asked him to throw them to him.

That way he could tell everyone that he caught them.Smiley LOL

Hi to Linda & Stawks gentleman-smiley-emoticon.gif

Have finalised the letter for the neighbour.

Showed it to my good neighbour, and he was very pleased with how I have worded it all.

Will print off some copies and have arranged for us to sign them on Tuesday & mail it on Wednesday.

Should give us enough time to start on the sand bags.Smiley Surprised

Have a good arvo everyone.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Stawks,

you dobbed yourself in about the weeds, I didn't notice them.

Wish we had a area for a small vegie garden.

Nice Vegie patch.

Is it you that gets out there  to do the work looking after it.?

Richo,

I have never been much into fishing.

The Mr clean freak turns me off, especially handling the bait with my hands.

One of the few times in my life & the last time I ever went fishing was in 2004 when I went to Cape York.

Stopped in at Weipa and hired a high sided tinny with a 50hp engine, had my youngest son, his two cousins and their dad.

Wasn't a lot of fish about, plenty of sharks and crocs.

Young bloke catches some type of shark, about 4ft long, he and his cousins start hauling it into the boat.

I'm yelling at them, "don't let it in the boat !, don't let it in the boat".

I didn't want to have to bail out of the boat to get away from a angry shark

because there was a few crocs about that we could see.

But no, they had to pull it into the boat, I grabbed it in a head lock, and the older cousin grabbed the back of it.

I was amazed at the strength it had, the two of us struggled to hold it, and his dad ended up cutting the line,

and we hurled it back into the water.
